Privacy
This page says what happens to the details you give us when you write, call or send the contact form. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
Who holds your data
The data controller is the business that runs People Can Code, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland:
Peoplecancode - Łukasz MuzykaPoznań, Poland
Tax ID (NIP): 7141849468
For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you send us yourself:
- from the contact form: your name, company, e-mail address, phone number, country, how you found us and your message
- from e-mails and phone calls: your contact details and what you tell us
Why, and on what legal basis
We use these details to answer you, to arrange the free consultation and, if you ask for one, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping a record of them).
If we start working together, we also keep the data needed for the contract and for invoices, as Polish tax and accounting law requires (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Giving us your details is voluntary, but without an e-mail address or phone number we cannot reply. We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to working together are deleted within 12 months of our last contact. Contract and invoice records are kept for the period the law requires, which is currently five years from the end of the tax year.
Who else handles it
We use a few service providers who process the data only on our behalf:
- Formspree, Inc. (USA): receives the contact form and forwards it to our mailbox
- Google (Google Workspace): our e-mail and calendar
- Calendly, LLC (USA): the booking calendar, if you pick a time there yourself
- DigitalOcean: hosts this website and keeps technical server logs, which include IP addresses
Formspree, Google and Calendly may process data in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards GDPR provides: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
AI assistants
The contact form can also be filled in by an AI assistant acting for you. What it sends is handled exactly as if you had typed it yourself.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the data we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct it or delete it
- restrict how we use it, or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest
- hand it over in a format you can take elsewhere
You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl.
